Mission & Vision

About BMI

Bridge of Mission International (BMI) is a registered non-profit organization, filed in the state of Georgia. BMI was created with a vision to function as a “bridge” between the missionaries abroad and lay missionaries, who are sent to deliver the love of Christ to the needy and the underprivileged people throughout the world. Although the organization was initially started by a group of Korean American Catholics, our goal is to open our doors to anyone interested in mission work, including Protestants and non-Koreans. In addition, BMI continues to strive to create a network of mission fields and to assist lay missionaries with proper spiritual and logistical tools to enable participation in mission activities that develop the spirituality of each member.

Our mission is to function as a “bridge” between a solid network of mission fields abroad and the lay missionaries who share in the passion, not only for experiencing Christ’s love, but also for evangelizing others with His Good News.

Our vision is to assist participants logistically and spiritually from their preparatory phase to the conclusion. We will also continue to sponsor mission activities- both domestic and abroad- to create new mission fields for future endeavors. It is our goal that our efforts will broaden and strengthen the Kingdom of God and bring many to know the blessings and love of Christ.

Our Core Values are to be the community of prayer, sharing, and mission. There’s something powerful in a group of faithful gathered together for prayer. No matter where we are, we need united agreement in prayer and faith whether we play privately or not, but we must also come together with the expectation to find accord in prayer. We are a community of sharing. We reach out to the needy, underprivileged, neglected, and abandoned in line with the Scriptures:  “In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me” (Matthew 25:45). Last but not least, we are a community of missionaries committed to fulfilling the mission of Christ; ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to all creation’ (Mark 16:15).
